There are so many awesome things in the Stampin' Up! holiday catalog, but I think I was most excited about the Frosted Floral Suite. It's wintery, but definitely could be used all year long. I had to use it for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I haven't made a wedding card in a long time, so I thought the sketch for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge would make a great wedding card. 

Here is my take on the sketch: 

Gold Foil is so tricky to photograph. It was an overcast day today, which I think helped, but the foil either is very shiny or so dark you can't tell it's gold.

I have been completely slacking in my card making. I thought that when school ended, I'd have more "me" time, especially since my kids are older. I guess I forgot that you just become a taxi service as they get older 😝!  I just let them sit on the couch today and retreated to my craft room. I have lots of new stuff to play with! I love the new Healing Hugs set and played around with it for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

My motivation was having to actually buy my mother a Mother's day card that cost $7.50. I wish I had found the time to make her one, but I did find one that made her cry!

I wanted to do a card with the retiring In Colors. I thought the Definitely Dahlia stamp in Sweet Sugarplum was perfect for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I am looking forward to the the 2018-2020 In Colors, but will miss Sweet Sugarplum.

The Lots of Lavender stamp set from the Sale-a-bration catalog has me longing for spring. Especially when it's 2 degrees outside! CAS(E) this Sketch #247

I haven't had much time lately for card making.October through the first week of November is the busiest time for me. I did get to spend this last week in Florida for work, so that was nice. I did have to miss Stampin' Up On Stage though. 

I've been wanting to use the Winter Wonder embossing folder for awhile. The sketch for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch was the perfect opportunity to use it. 

Here is my take on the sketch:

The silver foil is difficult to photograph. I guess you have to take my word for it that it looks better than it does in the photo.

The weather in Minnesota has been pretty warm so far this fall, but the leaves are still turning colors and falling to the ground. The enormous amount of leaves in our yard this weekend inspired my card for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.
