Here's this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches , their 100th! To celebrate, they are bringing back the original sketch.

Here is my take on the sketch:

It is almost 100 degrees in Minnesota today, so I was hoping that thinking Christmas would help cool things off. Of course, it didn't, but I do think this is a cool card.

I have been slacking lately on doing any challenges or making any cards at all lately. I guess I am trying to cram everything we can in before school starts up for my kids. I did get my card done for Freshly Made Sketches this week.

 Here is my take on the sketch: 

 

I went with kind of a half summer/ half fall color scheme, using Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral and Soft Suede, since we are winding down on summer.

New Envelope Punch Board- available September 1

It creates totally customizable envelopes in up to 66 different sizes (not to mention a million different color and pattern options depending on the paper you want to use). Even tried and true envelope sizes will only take you moments to create!

It's super easy to use: It looks intimidating at first glance, but when you see that all you have to do is measure for the first punch and from there you just turn and score you'll go crazy (in a good way).

It's small and lightweight: It's small and light enough that they could use it while watching a soccer match, at a park, at a friend's for craft night-anywhere.

It even has a slick scoring tool as well as a punch that lets you create rounded corners on your envelopes.

It's easy to keep it all together; the stylus storage compartment and two punches are designed into the tool so you don't have a bunch of little pieces to keep track of (even the instructions are printed right on the tool so you won't lose them!).

The $19.95 price is terrific- especially for a tool that does so much!

Single Stamps- new holiday collection

A new, holiday-themed collection of single stamps is now available! The holidays will be here before you know it, and these holiday-themed single stamps may be just what the budget-conscious stamper needs. There are eight different stamps to choose from, six of which coordinate with Framelits dies or punches.

These won't be sent in our typical cases or packaging; they'll be packaged in cello bags. If you'd like a case for your stamp, you can buy our Clear-Mount Stamp Cases that come in packs of four (item 119105). This offer is available for clear-mount stamps only. The stamps won't come with a Clear-Mount Block, and you'll need to buy a block separately if you don't already have one. The recommended block sizes can be found on the flyer. Best of 25 years- Best of Halloween

August's best of 25 years set:

As part of our 25-year anniversary celebration, we're bringing back some of our favorite stamp images from the last quarter century and combining them into 12 sets, which will release-one set per month-during 2013. Some things to remember:

All Best of stamp sets will include 3-5 images, including a never-before seen image, and will be priced at $14.95.

Thinlet card dies

Freshly Made Sketches #95 with a sneak peek!

I haven't done the past few challenges because I was so busy around the fourth of July, but I liked this week's sketch so much, I did two cards!  Freshly Made Sketches #95-a sketch by Narelle.

I also received my holiday catalog pre-order supplies, so I dug right into them. The first card I did is a fall/Thanksgiving type card.

The card base is Sahara Sand and I used the new Sweater Weather designer series paper (my new favorite!) and Harvest of Thanks stamp set.

The second card I did was a Halloween card. It seems too early to be doing a Halloween card, but the back to school supplies are already in the store, so I'm probably ok.
