My husband and I took our kids on a nature hike yesterday to one of our state parks. We some some birds wading in the water that reminded me of the Stampin' Up! Wetlands stamp set. It was my inspiration for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I tend to use simple color schemes on my cards, but I may have gone overboard for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I have to say I do like the monochrome look though.

I've taken a couple weeks off from card making. My mom and I took my daughters to Duluth for a mini vacation, and I've been trying to get all their stuff ready for back to school. My husband took them out for awhile today, so I could have some creative time. I took advantage of the time and did a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches.
