I wanted to get a head start on getting a Father's day card done for my dad. I used the sketch from this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge. Today is also the last day to order the stamp I used- Look up to Father. I have always looked up to my dad and not just because he's 6' 2". My dad is a social worker and just recently retired from St. Louis County after a little over 30 years working mainly in child protection.
He was a supervisor over several areas of family services when he retired. He inspired me to become a social worker, although I went the opposite route and work with the elderly. He's the best person I know, and I am extremely lucky that I got to be his daughter.
Anyway, this stamp fit perfectly for me.
Here is my take on the sketch:
Stampin' up! supplies used:
Stamp sets:Look up to Father, Hardwood
Cardstock- Whisper White, Early Espresso
Designer Series Paper-
Ink- Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Other- 1 1/4" Burlap ribbon
What a fabulous card for Father's Day! And it sounds like you have a fabulous father who deserves it. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
