It's hard to think of doing Christmas Cards in August already, but I immediately thought of a Christmas tree when I saw the sketch for CAS(E) this sketch! #236. I love the layered look of this tree!

For some reason, I always assume that I have Stampin' Up's! Definitely Dahlia background stamp. I'll go to use it and I don't have it. I finally ordered it. I just got it today, so I thought it'd be great for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I think the new Stampin' Up! daisy punch is my new go to flower. I love daisies anyway, but it makes such gorgeous flowers! I used it for this week's Freshly Made Sketches without any stamping, and it looks great that way too!

Here is my take on the sketch: 

Unfortunately, the Night of Navy square looks almost black. I don't know if that lighting or because the DSP is a bit lighter than the cardstock. Oh well!

Fab Friday #113

I've been wanting to use the new Daisy Delight set from the new 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! annual catalog. I thought the Fab Friday challenge had the perfect sketch for it. 

Here is my take on the sketch:

To get a leaf large enough for the daisy, I ended up using the large piece form the Bow Builder punch and cutting off one of the squared ends. Voila, perfect leaf shape!

One of my favorite things about a new Stampin' Up! annual catalog is a new set of In Colors. I have to admit the new Lemon Lime Twist is not one of my favorite of the bunch, but I do like how it pairs with Basic Black. I tried it out for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

The Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper is another thing I will miss when the Stampin' Up! 2016-2017 catalog retires at the end of this month. Luckily, the Fresh Florals DSP in the new catalog is very similar and in all the new, fun In Colors. I do love the crisp Night of Navy and white in the Floral Boutique DSP and thought it would work well for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
