CCMC399 - Sketch Challenge

I really liked the sketch for this week's Create with Connie and Mary challenge. I am bumming that Blackberry Bliss will soon be retiring, so I decided to use it while I can.

Here is my take on the sketch:

It's hard to tell in the photo, but I used the clear Wink of Stella glitter brush on the Whisper White butterfly, which is underneath the Blackberry Bliss butterfly. It shows up nicely in person, not so much in a photo.

I'm typically not a fan of purple, which may be the main reason I've never embraced the Minnesota Vikings, to my father's chagrin. (Go Pack!) I do love Stampin' Up's Blackberry Bliss though. I'm sad that it's time as an in color is coming to an end soon. I can only hope that it makes it's way into the main line up someday. I chose to use it (a lot of it) for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge. 

Here is my take on the sketch:

My lighting wasn't very good today, so I apologize for the shadows. Also, the ink seems like a different shade than the paper in the picture, but not in real life.  Can't explain it.

I had a really busy weekend because my cousin got married, and my girls were both in the wedding, but I had to get a card done for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. I just loved the sketch.

CAS(E) this Sketch #156

I joined in the CAS(E) this sketch challenge this week. I thought the sketch had a nice spring feel to it, which is what I was feeling like doing today. Our winter hasn't been that bad this year, so I hate to complain, but by this time of the year, I'm kinda done with it. Sadly, we probably have 2 more months to go. Well, I can always dream of spring until it comes.

Here is my take on the sketch:

I used the new Wink of Stella glitter brush in clear on the flower. It did not show up very well in the photo, but I really liked how it adds a subtle sparkle.

It is way cold in Minnesota today. I was not going to step foot out of my house today, so I decided to spend time in my craft room. I was planning on making a wedding card for my cousin for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge. It kind of morphed into more of a graduation card. It still might work since it's a winter wedding. I didn't have as much problem photographing the gold this week. Probably due to the severe cloud cover in Minnesota today. Who would think we'd be getting rain in December though!
