Freshly Made Sketches #201- a sketch by Narelle

The Minnesota State Fair started this past Thursday. It is a 10 day event that basically signals the end of summer around here. It goes through Labor day and school starts that next day (for most of the state). This summer has been absolutely wonderful! I hate to see it end, but fall truly is my favorite time of year. I love the colors, the cooler weather and of course Halloween!

For this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge, I got out the super cute "Acorny Thank You" stamp set from Stampin' Up!'s" holiday catalog. With the last name McNutt, I have to embrace any set with a squirrel or nuts in it.

Here is my take on the sketch:

Stampin' up! supplies used:
Stamp sets: Acorny Thank You
Cardstock- Whisper White, Soft Suede
Designer Series Paper- Into the Woodsy DSP
Ink -Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Tangelo Twist
Other-Linen Thread, Acorn builder punch, 2" Circle punch, Woodgrain embossing folder

  1. Beautifully done! I love how you've layered the focal image. And I love your little story about why you had to get this set because of your last name. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
